Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter- discard or active (200 grams)

  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup finely shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Mix room temperature discard, melted butter, and salt in a medium bowl
  • Pour onto lined baking sheet and use an offset spatula to spread it across the parchment as thinly as possible
  • Bake for 10 minutes
  • Take out and using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, score the whole sheet into your desired cracker shape
  • Continue to bake for 10-15 minutes until they're lightly browned and crispy, turning the baking sheet as needed to ensure even baking
  • Let cool and break apart into crackers
  • Once they're completely cooled, store in an airtight container

Notes

  • If you have a pretty cutter of some sort that would really elevate the look of these crackers and turn them from a simple everyday snack to a fancy addition to a charcuterie board
  • These crackers are super versatile and can be cut into most any shape and paired with endless toppings
  • I store these in a large mason jar and they keep well up to a week
